Wow…

If you actually bother to go to the link and look up the specific verses they cite (http://www.biblegateway.com/ is good for this) you’ll notice that many of them are either taken way out of context in order to look like they are contradicting each other or else twisted, an alternate meaning that is obviously not a straight contradiction.

I’m disappointed, guys. Check your sources.

- Are you lazy? Indubitably!

- Afraid of heights? Not at all; I enjoy them. :)

- Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid? Paleontologist and veterinarian.

- Hot tea or cold tea? Hot tea by a mile.

- Tea or coffee? Tea, tea, tea! Coffee tastes gross. Smells awesome though.

- Favorite kind of cookie? Chocolate chip, milanos, shortbreads, I’m forgetting something.

- Can you swim well? Yep I passed all the swim classes at the rec center. :)

- Can you hold your breath w/o manually holding your nose? There are people who can’t do that?

- Who do you want to see right now? I’d settle for the Doctor. :D

Leopard seals are pretty scary predators, especially if you’re a penguin. But they can be friendly to other leopard seals, which is something that photographer Paul Nicklen learned during one of his trips to Antarctica.

He was taking underwater photos when a leopard seal started feeding him penguins, starting with live ones, which were released close to him (to see if he would catch them), and ending with half-chewed dead ones. One theory is that the leopard seal saw his reflection in the lens of the camera and thought that Nicklen was a fellow predator, but an awkward one in need of some help. This went on for FOUR DAYS…

Rare Birds Hatch at Bronx Zoo

There are currently only 35 birds of this species in accredited United States zoos

Three Spur-winged Lapwing or Spur-winged Plover (Vanellus spinosus) chicks recently hatched at the Bronx Zoo, offering zoo-goers a glimpse of a rare bird species.

Spur-winged lapwings are a species of migratory shorebird found in sub-Saharan Africa during the winter and in the eastern Mediterranean during the warmer breeding season.

Its name refers to a spur hidden in each of its wings which is used for defense from predators and protection of its young. The chicks hatched last month and can be spotted at the popular bee-eater exhibit.
